Microsoft Teams : How to Manage Access in Teams Meeting
Here are the steps to manage meeting access in Microsoft Teams effectively — including who can bypass the lobby, who can present, and who can join:
🔹 1. Schedule the Meeting
Go to Microsoft Teams Calendar.
Click "New Meeting" or open an existing meeting.
Add meeting title, attendees, date & time.
Click "Send" to save the meeting.
🔹 2. Open Meeting Options
🔹 3. Configure Meeting Access Settings
✅ Who can bypass the lobby?
Choose who joins the meeting directly:
Everyone – anyone with the link can join directly.
People in my organization – only signed-in org members bypass.
People I invite – only explicitly invited people bypass.
Only me – everyone else waits in the lobby.
🎤 Who can present?
Control who has presenter permissions:
Everyone – all participants are presenters.
People in my organization – only internal users.
Specific people – choose certain attendees.
Only me – you're the only presenter (best for webinars).
